Wrist Phone M500 Ships this Week

Postado por . | 3:26 AM

Wrist Phone M500 Ships this Week: "

'Australian SMS Technology ships the M500 touch screen wrist phone (see hi-res photos). Yes you read that correct, SMS Technology ships the M500 not the former model M300, which they announced in Summer of 2006. The company has converted the previous orders of patient early adopters for M300 into the more advanced M500 and is offering only the M500 going forward. The SMS Technology M500 mobile wristphone is water resistant and is a Quadband GSM phone supporting frequencies 850Mhz, 900Mhz, 1800Mhz and 1900Mhz. Other features of the M500 are a 1.5 inch color touch screen with 120 x 160px resolution, 128MB Built-in Memory, MP3 and MP4 player, Bluetooth 2.0, USB, Java, WAP, SMS, MMS, talk time of 200 minutes and a standby time of 80 hours. Forum posts on the SMS Technology indicated that only 500 M500 are currently available for direct order. I assume the company wants to switch to a distributor model. The current price f a M500 is 1,000 AUD (~$820 USD). Waiting for a local distributor to carry the cool looking wrist phone might make it more affordable. ' via slashphone.com

This was made by made by exilim over at Esato's forums. I guess we are all curious as to what is the P3i and what it will look like since hints of it have surfaced. This concept looks nice closely following the P1 design but with a way bigger screen and I just love the black/green keypad. I like this even more than the other P3 concept I posted before."

Philips 390 - a Black Beauty without much facility

Philips 390 - a Black Beauty without much facility: "

This 98 g weighted mobile phone, Philips 390 is very soon going to smack the world of mobiles and perplex the customers with its beauty. It has a TFT screen with a 256 colors display. With screen of 2 inches and sized of 170 x 220 pixels, the mobile has 4- way navigation key. Talking of memory, the phone has the capacity to record 30 missed calls, dialed calls, and received calls each at a time. In this mobile you will get a microSD, TransFlash card slot with 64 MB user memory. Philips 390 has the facilities of SMS, EMS, and MMS. Browser 2.0/ x HTML is also present in the phone. Game lovers can avail 3 embedded facilities in the Game section of the mobile. To be available in color Black, this phone has camera together with MP3 player, calculator, calendar, International converter, and Built- in hands free. The phone has good designs and stunning looks. But apart from, the Bluetooth lovers would get disappointed. This new phone doesn’t have Bluetooth, GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE, 3G, WLAN, and Infrared Port but has USB. No doubt this phone has that much design to attract the younger generation with its impressive look. But talking about the battery capacity, Philips 390 uses standard battery, Li- lon 620 mAh. Thereby the phone could be used standby up to 250 hours and up to a talk time of 3 hours. But, as compared to other Philips phones, surely this phone has short battery life. Think over again! This phone has nothing much to proffer as the new generation always look for a phone that gives much battery back up. It is so as they have to use the phone for long hours listening to music, or watching videos. And for that it should not be possible for you to carry your chargers at every place you visit.

Sharp 550SH - good but hoodwinked by facilities

Sharp 550SH - good but hoodwinked by facilities: "

Sharp 550SHWith dimensions of 111 x 47 x 18.5 mm and weight of 98g, Sharp 550 SH gives you an option when you are looking for a new mobile handset. It is now available in the market. There can be about 500 entries in the phonebook of this mobile. Also, 10 dialed, received, and missed calls each could be kept in the record of the phone. You could get microSD, TransFlash card slot in this phone together with 20 MB of user data. Though you could find many facilities in the handset, but lacunas are there in the phone. You can’t play MP3 to incoming calls, you can’t get large files than 5 MB through Bluetooth, and it doesn’t matter whether there is memory card or not.

Apart from, it also can’t auto save to memory card; even it can’t play large video files, and has bad menu navigation. When we talk of HSCSD, EDGE, WLAN, and Infrared port you can’t find these facilities in this phone. But just wait! There are few facilities in the phone. 384 kbps 3G and v1.1 Bluetooth facilities are available here. You can play games here on this set and even download them. 1.3 MP camera and QCIF facilities could be availed. You can make video calls from this phone and can send SMS, MMS, and an Email. There is a facility of MP3/ ACC player along with calendar, java MIDP 2.0 and voice memo. If you are not that of a kind who uses mobile with a purpose of video recording, listening to music, then you can think of going for this mobile. It is so as this phone uses standard battery, Li- lon with a talk time up to 4 hours and up to 370 hours when standby, but this is not proper according to today’s requirements.

It also features a 1.3 mega pixel camera, microSD support and EDGE for fast data transfers. It comes with a TI OMAP 850 200 MHz processor and 128MB ROM and 64MB RAM. Well...at least the buttons and screen are proportional to each other.

SoftBank Announces New Windows Mobile 6 Devices

Postado por . | 5:10 AM

SoftBank Announces New Windows Mobile 6 Devices: "'Windows Mobile 6 is finding a new home in some of the new PDA Phones sold by SoftBank, for example the X02HT (Smartphone) coming with a 2.4 inches screen, 2MPix, Wifi b/g, Bluetooth, GSM, W-CDMA and 120g in your pocket but also the X01T made by Toshiba featuring: HSDPA, W-CDMA, GSM, Bluetooth, 3 inches VGA screen, Wifi B/G, 2Mpix and 198g.'

The specs on these devices are pretty nice, but it's the colors that have me orange with envy. I want to see more colorful devices like this. Sure, i-mate has the SPL line, but the different colors have yet to make it over this side of the ocean. Even if they do, it's only a TriBand phone. I don't expect the SoftBank devices to be any different when it comes to availability in North America. Sad I think it's time to buy a can of spray paint and a replacement shell for my BlackJack. Then it could be called a RedJack or GreenJack.

Cool mobile devices

Postado por . | 5:03 AM

Cool mobile devices: "Gophone have compiled a top 8 list of their favorite mobile ideas.

Well this first device is the HTC shift. This is a real device and will be available Q3 this year. It slides open and has a full QWERTY keyboard. It runs Windows Vista, 7 inch screen, has 30 GB storage, WIFI, bluetooth 2, 2 cameras, fingerprint scanner and HSDPA support. Impressive device.

These next concepts are made by a company called NEO. These devices are supposed to be made from cutting edge metals.

This next device has a minimalist design. It has a cylinder shape...kinda like a sausage. It has rocker keys (each key represents 3 digits) and a flip out display (like a blade). I must not that this device is small in dimensions. Nice idea but I think it would be weird to hold it next to my ear.

This next concept is by Samsung. This device doesn't look like a phone at all, more like a wrist wrap. It has a metal feel to it. There is only a large round display on the device and comes with a virtual infrared keyboard projector. The projector projects the keypad onto your hand (fingers) which can be tapped. This is also a nice idea but I think I would rather tap a real keypad.

This next concept is by Polymer Vision Readius which is a subsidiary of Philips. It has a 5 inch screen which can be folded. It measures 100 × 21 × 55.6 mm (looks really big in the pics) and weighs 150 grams. The display has a QVGA resolution and is only 16 greyscale (no colors). This allows the device to be save power and last as long as 10 days. The device also supports 3G, WIFI and has built in 4 GB memory.

This next concept is quite interesting. It has no screen. Instead it has 96 keys. The keys are divided into many groups and each control something else. I would find this phone extremely hard to use considering the amount of keys and the whole device is covered with the keys. Imagine carrying this device around without a keylock...

This next device is based on a folding design. It folds in the center and on the inside a huge screen and under the screen media player keys or a full QWERTY keyboard. On the outside there is a smaller screen with a regular keypad. I seriously can not see this becoming a reality any time soon.

This last concept is by NEC and called tag. It is shaped kind off like a belt and can be bent and shaped to your liking. The device supports video calls and you can watch TV on it as well. It comes in different colors and 2 screens. This is also a nice idea...but I think this device can be easily broken.

It Has Gps: HTC Kaiser Unboxed: "

htckaiser.jpgJust when people were getting used to the HTC Wing, Boy Genius goes and unboxes the HTC Kaiser. The Wing's younger, more powerful, and better-looking brother has Windows Mobile 6, quad-band GSM/EDGE, tri-band UMTS/HSDPA, a 3-megapixel camera with auto focus, GPS, WI-Fi, Bluetooth and that standard HTC sliding QWERTY that everyone loves.

What's interesting about this line of phones (by this line we mean the Kaiser and its siblings that will make it to CDMA carriers) is the tilting screen and the 128MB of RAM (75MB of which is user-accessible). Otherwise, the inclusion of a real GPS (!) on a standard HTC-styled slider makes it super winner fun-time deluxe to us.

iPhone rumor du jour: June 20th release date

Postado por . | 4:59 AM

iPhone rumor du jour: June 20th release dateOk, another iPhone rumor -- you want to be looped in, don't you? If not then just wait, there'll be another post along shortly. Anywho, supposedly according to a CNBC 'On the Money' report, an AT&T store told them Apple's cellphone would launch on June 20th. Which is hilarious because if you call 10 different cellphone stores you're bound to get ten different answers regarding the launches of upcoming products -- especially the hottest phones. Why? Mostly just because those clerks read the rumors online just like you. Surely enough, the AP apparently called a bunch of AT&T stores and got launch dates franging from June 11 to June 22, but nothing certain from Apple or AT&T corporate. Still, makes for some amusing Friday reading, dunnit?

T100 cellphone is extra secure
Now this is certainly a first - a cellphone from China that actually has some semblance of originality. The T100 from Qiao Xing will ship with fingerprint recognition to keep your information private in case you loose the handset, an extra long standby time, and multimedia capabilities such as TV streaming. Judging by the picture, the phone comes with a touchscreen display. You can tell as most Chinese handsets have this screen with a row of icons (normally 5 of them) located at the bottom. 3G connectivity is most probably out of the equation as there doesn't seem to be any camera up front, which leads me to wonder how they're going to stream TV shows over. Will it come with a TV tuner built inside?

AT&T’s C3b Pantech Flip Phone is World’s Smallest

Postado por . | 10:09 AM

AT&T’s C3b Pantech Flip Phone is World’s Smallest: "

Pantech C3bThis is the worlds smallest flip or folder phone, and it comes from Pantech Wireless, Inc. It measures 2.72 x 1.69 x 0.8 inches and only weights 71.9 gms. It has Bluetooth, a VGA camera and GPRS. Now, there are probably smaller flip phones in China but it is safe to say that this is the smallest camera flip phone with Bluetooth connectivity.

To complement its small size (total volume is only 57 cc), AT&T has also slapped a pretty small price tag for this phone with a 2 year contract added. For $19.99 you can also enjoy email support for Yahoo!, MSN Hotmail and AOL. MP3 ringtones and MMS come standard in the most recent phones, including the Pantech C3b.

One interesting about this phone is that you can change the faceplate of this phone. There is nothing you can do about the shape, but there are several colors available, depending on what you like at the moment.

Motorola confirms ROKR Z6 music phone

Postado por . | 4:00 PM

Motorola confirms ROKR Z6 music phone: "

Despite being initially announced back in January Motorola have today been re-announcing the ROKR Z6 music phone.

If you were hoping this would rival the iPhone or any of the Sony Ericsson Walkman phones then you will be disappointed. The Z6 doesn't offer anything new other than a transfer speed that they claim can download tracks from a PC in 3 seconds.

Motorola ROKR Z6

'The new ROKR music handsets are a true convergence of the MP3 player and mobile phone,' said Chris White, senior director, Mobile Devices Multimedia Entertainment, Motorola. 'These innovative devices are packed with the features mobile consumers demand today, including easy PC synching and access to hundreds of music stores.'

Other features:

  • Making the easy transition from phone to music and back again, the ROKR Z6 allows one-touch access to your library and pauses music as calls come through.
  • With more than 10 hours of music enjoyment in airplane mode, battery life concerns are history.
  • A touch of the 4-way navigation wheel gives immediate access to content.
  • The Z6 makes it easy to find and manage songs using Windows Media PlayerTM on the PC, which supports playlists, album art, search by genre, artist and more. It even answers calls while you transfer. The ROKR Z6 works right out of the box; Windows Media Player automatically recognizes the device.
  • Start rocking fast with High Speed USB 2.0 to side-load songs in 2-3 seconds, almost five times faster than a competitive music phone: that's a 500 song library in 15 minutes, instead of 2 hours. Synch purchased music from over 200 music stores, including Napster, onto the device from your PC; or side-load tunes from over 200 music stores worldwide - an advantage over most other devices.
  • With the external memory slot, load up 2GB microSD cards with your music collection; each holds approximately 1,000 songs and 70 hours of music1 2.

Design Concept: Whoa! SLIQ is One Sexy Phone Concept: "

samsung_sliq.jpgIt's been a while since a cellphone has filled us with as much lust as this SLIQ design. It's a concept by Mike Serafin with no keypad and what he calls an 'advanced touch interface.' It better be pretty advanced, because we haven't been all that impressed with touch interfaces thus far.

Its illustrations have the Samsung logo either proudly or hopefully displayed, but we're not sure if this is a Samsung-authorized design or not. Besides its good looks, the concept has one particularly unusual feature we've never seen in a cellphone before.

Get this, the most unusual feature: it has a crank that powers it up, so maybe it doesn't even need batteries. Neat. check out these design sketches:

sliq_design_sketches.jpg

Also included in this possibly vaporware concept is a 2-megapixel camera with a Schneider-Kreuznach lens that looks like it retracts into the phone's slightly bulging top section. Even with that camera goodness, the design calls for an ultra-thin profile of a mere 10mm. Its shiny toy-like form factor with its sexy disappearing LCD screen really gets us going. OK, back in our holes

RAZR Fashion Mobile Phone Makes a Comeback

RAZR Fashion Mobile Phone Makes a Comeback: "

RAZR2Motorola’s sales are slumping, so what to do but go back to their most successful model, the original RAZR. But they can’t just pu the old model back on the shelves. Practically one of everyone’s friend owns or has owned one. Since 2004, when the first RAZR was introduced, over 100 million cell phone users have called themselves from one time or another a RAZR owner.

Yesterday, Motorola did the next best thing and announced RAZR2. There will be at least three versions of the RAZR2 to debut simultaneously. The V8 is a GSM phone, the V9 is a 3G phone with HSDPA and the EvDo CDMA V9m. There are some differences between the V8 and V9 version. The V8 is the slimmer model and 2mm thinner than the current RAZR. Both models share the external 2-inch touchscreen (with haptic tactile feedback) display. The internal screen doubles the resolution of the external one. It’s only slightly bigger at 2.2 inches.

The RAZR2 has a 2.0MP onboard camera - Motorola will be crossing its fingers that this will be enough megapixels for popular use. Overall, the RAZR2 is a better phone and MP3 player with an entirely new user interface. It’s supposed to be ten times faster than the old RAZR and screen resolution should also be many times brighter. Other good points include a stainless steel internal frame, hardened glass exterior, aluminum hinge is super durable so flip this phone with peace of mind it won’t break. Calling quality should also be much better. Pre-orders are available online at motorola.com.

Photos of the CDMA "LAZR" V9m and more unconfirmed details

Shots of what is apparently the CDMA version of Motorola's hotly anticipated successor to the RAZR have appeared on Phone News. To be designated as either the V9m or the V9c, the 2-inch external display on this thing looks positively huge in comparison to the KRZR's stamp sized external screen, and the first side shot of the phone makes us really appreciate the trimmed design: no more hump! Phone News says that Motorola's flagship will feature internal and external touchscreens and the BREW user interface with Flash support, and that it'll launch on Verizon Wireless first. We can't attest to the accuracy of these claims, but we certainly wouldn't say no to the former two's inclusion.

Two New Nokia Nseries Phones on the Horizon

Postado por . | 4:23 PM

Two New Nokia Nseries Phones on the Horizon: "

Nokia N81 and n82

Nokia must be the most popular manufacturer of non-touchscreen smart phones? Nseries phones are not only known for their smart phone features like being able to support third-party applications, they’re also very popular for their advanced hardware like the built-in camera with video playback. The MP3 players in Nseries phones are not so bad ether. In fact, of all the N95’s super phones features, the music playback is the most well received by critics.

Now we have two more Nseries smart phones. They will not break any technological records, but as improvements on older models they make very good sense. The N81 is supposed to be the successor of the N91, which was among the first batch of Nseries phones Nokia announced. The N81 has 8GB of onboard memory and a sliding feature which the N91 has. The older N91 has the more original form factor, to be honest, with the N81 looking like the LG Chocolate sans the touchscreen. The 2 megapixel camera is shared by both phones, and so is the Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity. The man difference is in the form factor and weight. Nokia’s new music smart phone should be easier and lighter (about 20gms lighter) to carry.

The N82 (two pics on the right) has a whoppng 5 megapixel camera with XenonLED flash. Something budding amateur photographers should appreciate. It also has Wi-Fi and HSDPA. It also has GPS and a TV out feature. It’s almost as feature-packed as the N95. The N82 should be officially announced Q4.

Vaporware: Zenum Smartphone Slated to Debut This Month: "

Zenum.jpg The sexy Zenum Opus smartphone has been making its way around the Interwebs for quite some time, and today it's finally getting a release date. According to the gang at Unwired (who checked in with Zenum), the smartphone will be out later this month. It'll come with a 2-megapixel camera, Windows Mobile 6, a 2.5-inch display and both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (sorry, no 3G). Sounds really enticing, but considering their last project never came to be, I have a sinking feeling this phone will forever be a concept too.

High End: Rumor: Nokia N81 and N82 Get Specs, Launch Dates: "

nokiaphonesn81.jpgSymbian Guru has the lead on previously unheard of Nokia phones, the N81 and N82, which are both supposedly launch during Q4 2007, and have some pretty fantastic specs. First, the sliding N81 will have 8GB of flash memory, N-Gage gaming, a 2-megapixel camera, quad-band EDGE and HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, and will run the Series 60 3rd Edition.

The N82, on the other hand, is a candybar phone with quad-band GSM, HSDPA, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi, GPS, TV-out, FM radio, microSD, front VGA camera, 5-megapixel back camera with Carl Zeiss lens and auto focus, and will also be running Series 60 3rd edition. Seeing as the specs on both these phones are so high, we wouldn't expect it to go for anything less than what you're seeing for the other high-end N phones.

This phone is quite sleek with a thickness of 12.6 mm. the overall dimension of this phone is 100x45x13 mm. since this phone is designed to target the low end users so this phone doesn’t have various add on features but you can certainly get some of the essential features with the Sony Ericsson T250. This phone features a VGA camera with a resolution of 640x480 pixels. It was quite fine with us, as we were not expecting some 2 or 3-mega pixel cameras from a budget phone. The 1.7″ 65k color TFT display of this phone adeptly compliments the overall design of the phone.

Sony Ericsson T250

The display has a resolution of 128x160 pixels. This stylish handset will weigh only 82 grams. The phone is available in blue and silver colors with metallic finish. This phone also has slide show features where you can have a complete slide show of the images you have in your phone. Though we were disappointed by the memory of this phone, it has a 2 MB internal memory without an external card slot. The stand by time is up to 300 hours and it has a talk time up to 7 hours.

Nokia E 90 is the latest multitasking phone range of Nokia with Symbian operating system. This phone looks quite good and we hope it’s going to have good sales. Nokia E90

The overall dimension of this phone is 132x57x20 mm. though the weight of this phone is little access with 210 grams. But, if you are getting loads of features then this is worth the load. Review: Sony Ericsson W710—More Bounce to the Ounce: "

W710
How do I know it's 443 steps from my house to the taqueria? My cell phone told me so. The Sony Ericsson W710's built-in pedometer is just one of this phone's sports-centric features (a stopwatch and lap timer, are also available), but it's the music system where it really shines. Playing tunes from a Memory Stick Micro card (a 512MB card is included), the W710 really belts out the sound, either via headphones (an adapter and a basic pair are included) or via the internal speaker. When I accidentally hit the play button on the clamshell's exterior controls while the phone was in my pocket, I got angry at what I thought was some jerk driving by with his car stereo cranked up. That'll teach me not to use the lock switch.' —Christopher Null

WIRED
Excellent audio—both music and voice— in a pint-sized package (just 3.6 ounces). Impressive talk time of 8 hours, 20 minutes. FM radio included, as are email support and web browsing.

TIRED
Awfully thick, especially with pocket-unfriendly antenna bump. Memory Stick Micro (M2) cards are at least twice the price of MicroSD. Proprietary connector handles charging, USB connection, and headphones. White-gray-orange color scheme isn't pretty. 2-megapixel camera shots are unimpressive.

Measuring only 13.5 mm, this slim device has a built-in high speed 802.11 b/g WiFi connection, while supporting quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE and WCDMA UMTS/HSDPA. The C730 is also equipped with a 5-way navigational button, 3-way smart jog bar and full QWERTY keypad, guaranteeing you seamless navigation, convenient scrolling and easy input for messaging, sending and receiving E-Mails as well as chatting on MSN/Live Messenger. ... Available from early June, the C730 will retail in Singapore at a suggested price of S$ 898/US$ 590/435 Euro. Further APAC availability wasn't announced so far.'

Dopod has officially announced the much awaited update to the HTC Excalibur. The HTC Cavalier features 3.5G HSDPA which is the biggest shortcoming of the Excalibur, marketed as the T-Mobile Dash and HTC S620. Dopod seems to the first and the only vendor to have announced the availability of the Cavalier. No carrier has announced its plans to pick up this Windows Mobile Standard edition device. Folks who will buy this device will also receive the BlackBerry Connect software. I believe this is the first HTC device to carry this software. So are you waiting for this smartphone to become available in the stores online?

The panels charge the internal batteries which in turn power your mobile phone. It takes between 2-4 hours to fully charge the internal batteries which are around 600mAh. According to them the batteries can power your mobile phone for 20-40 minutes. The chargers also come with an assortment of connection adapters to suit the type of phone (or device) you have. This can be used to charge any mobile device as long as the suitable connector is supplied. This is useful for tourists or for people not around an outlet (as long as there is alot of sunlight of course). These chargers aren't expensive and cost around 5$ US. Usually no one takes the time to properly review them. In conclusion Eldar was satisfied with their performance but wasn't wowed. There is nothing really revolutionary. There will probably be new accessories announced soon along with new phones next week. More pics of the MRC-60, here and here.

Thin: Alltel Gets Super Thin Samsung Wafer With XM Radio Mobile: "

alltelwafer.jpgAlltel's not usually known for getting cutting-edge handsets, but it may be time for that to change as the slick-looking Samsung Wafer SCH-R510 heads their way. The phone has some interesting features, with the celltop widget system, XM Radio Mobile, Axcess TV and Axcess mobile Guide.

Elsewhere, it has a 1.3-megapixel camera, weighs 2.7 oz., and will cost you $49 after a $50 mail-in rebate. It qualifies for Alltel's My Circle as well, which is their all you can call for free plan. A nice, anorexic addition to the Alltel lineup without any of the associated health problems.

The BlackBerry Curve

The BlackBerry Curve

Picture an 8800 with its tie loosened and a couple buttons undone, and this here is pretty much what you'd get. Hot on the heels of the aforementioned 8800, RIM has officially taken the wraps off its hotly anticipated (and well scooped) 8300 'Curve,' a device that takes the standard QWERTY BlackBerry formula and throws in a handful of consumer-friendly features for good measure. Clearly at the top of the list is a 2 megapixel cam with integrated flash -- but other goodies include comprehensive media support (WMA, WMV, and H.263 all make the cut), stereo Bluetooth, a true 3.5mm headphone jack, microSD expansion for when you exhaust (quickly) your 64MB of internal ROM, and a 15.5mm thick shell that's pretty stylish by RIM standards. Now that the phone's official, we're hoping to see it hit AT&T -- among other carriers -- in the coming weeks.

Veritronix's VX-818 Bluetooth speaker / handsfree device

Veritronix's latest certainly won't go down as the first of its kind, but it does add a dash of style and compactness to the ever-growing BT speaker market. Coming in at just 13-millimeters thick and resembling the size of a 'business card,' this speaker / handsfree interface sports Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, a touch-sensitive control panel, a set of stereo drivers, and a built-in microphone as well. Furthermore, you'll find both 3.5-millimeter line-in and out jacks, USB charging abilities, and a reported playback duration of eight hours. No word just yet concerning pricing or availability, but the challenging part will finding a way to get this sucka into North America once it hits the Hong Kong streets.

Orange SPV E650 Windows Mobile Smartphone Review on TrustedReviews

Postado por . | 5:02 PM

Orange SPV E650 Windows Mobile Smartphone Review on TrustedReviews: "'Orange has an uncanny knack of producing mobile units that get closer and closer to my single device ideal. I've been using the SPV M3100 since last September and it managed to fulfil many of my needs, being smaller than the SPV M5000, but still sporting a slide out, full qwerty keyboard. But much as I liked the M3100, I found that I still ended up carrying my old Samsung D600 much of the time, since it made a more convenient handset for actually making phone calls. But now Orange may well have cracked it with the SPV E650 and my days of carrying two phones around with me could be well and truly over. The SPV E650 is based on HTC's S710 smartphone and once again Orange is first out of the gate with a new Windows Mobile device. This comes as no real surprise considering that Orange pioneered Windows Mobile smartphones with the original SPV, and although that particular handset was pretty awful, Orange's commitment to the Windows Mobile platform has definitely paid off.'

Nowadays it seems like we cannot spend a single day without reading a review or watching the un-boxing of the Orange SPV E650 a.k.a. HTC S710. This awesome smartphone has made its way to some Internet stores in the States but hasn't been picked up by a carrier. Are you waiting for this device to be picked up by your carrier? Or hoping that the carrier will pick up the Vox successor, the one with 3G support?

Review: LG KU580 Hero Mobile Phone

Postado por . | 4:56 PM

Review: LG KU580 Hero Mobile Phone: "

LG KU580Here’s another stylish cell phone from LG which is not only stylish but quite impressive also. LG KU580 is soon going to be launched as the latest style series of LG. after the LG Chocolate, Prada and Shine series, this phone is launched to join the bandwagon. This phone is named as Hero, though I couldn’t find anything so heroic in this phone. This TriBand GSM phone is quite stunning and has a seamless finish; thanks to our innovators of LG. this is a slider phone with a screen on the front panel. This phone looks quite good and we had a good feel while touching its screen. This is a light weight model of LG with a weight of mere 73 grams. This phone has a 256k TFT display along with touch sensitive navigation keys with backlight. It has a 2 mega pixel camera which is not that superior quality but is a good accompaniment. It comes with a microSD TransFlash memory card with 45 MB of shared memory. This phone is GPRS and Bluetooth enabled. You get a 384 kbps 3G with this phone. But, there isn’t any Infrared or EDGE and it’s a little disappointing. One thing that disappointed us the most is the screen size of this handset. Everything about the design is good but the screen is really small. You get VGA video call camera and FM radio in LG KU580.

Presently this phone is a Vodafone exclusive and we don’t know what you should do to have a normal LG KU580. This phone is now available in black color only, which is both sober and attractive. But it’s little difficult for me to understand why LG is so hyper about the style of the phone. All the phones are having the same feature and only the style which is different. Hope LG will soon put more stress on features than styling.

Review: Nokia 6110 Navigator

Review: Nokia 6110 Navigator: "

Nokia 6110 NavigatorNokia 6110 Navigator is among the latest multi tasking phones launched by Nokia. This QuadBand phone has some similar looks of Nokia E65 as both are slider phones. This phone looks quite unique because of its color combined body. You can find an amazing combination of black and white color on this phone. This phone has various features which makes it a stylish multi tasking phone. You get all the required functions like GPRS, HSCSD, and EDGE with this phone. It is also Bluetooth enabled. This phone has a 2 mega pixel camera with Flash. You also get QVGA video and secondary QVGA video call camera. It comes with a microSD TransFlash and hotswap memory card with 40 MB of user memory.

This phone works on the Symbian technology. Nokia is among the few manufacturers who have Symbian OS in their handsets. This model has Symbian OS V9.2, S60, which gives the user more ease of use along with numerous features. This phone had a 16 M colors TFT display. Besides the regular features this phone gives you complete freedom of downloading Java games, as it is Java MIDP 2.0 enabled. It has a complete office application system which makes it a complete smart gadget.

And now the most important feature. This phone has a GPS receiver which has built in Maps. Though we are not sure what all areas and countries it can cover but Nokia promises maximum coverage. This phone can give you complete satisfaction with its multi faceted features. You have the best operating system, a 2 mega pixel camera, Java, GPS receiver, office applications and stereo FM radio, what else you want? Yeah, only I demerit, this phone looks too big and heavy. Nokia should now think more about the style than features. After all, your phone is your foremost style statement.

Review: Motorola W380 Mobile Phone

Postado por . | 4:55 PM

Review: Motorola W380 Mobile Phone: "

Motorola W380 is another budget phone from Motorola which has normal feature, normal design and even normal price. This is Motorola’s new venture in low scale marketing. Hence we didn’t find many things to review in this phone. Everything was so normal that we called it a ‘calling gadget’. Yeah, this phone is solely made to make and receive phone calls. If you are searching something unusual then we are extremely sorry there isn’t anything for you. This phone is for those users who want a cell phone with only calling facility available. Now as we are here to give you the complete information about this phone, so we will try our best to make it little unique.

Motorola W380

Motorola W380 is a TriBand GSM phone which can remind you the RAZR series. This 97gm light weight handset has a TFT display of 65k colors. This is an affordable phone designed for the basic users. This phone can have polyphonic, MP3, AAC ringtones. This phone has a FM radio and 7 MB of internal memory. You also get an in built VGA 640 x 480 pixels video record with this phone. We specially liked the overall body and feature of this phone.

But, we had a doubt rather I should say a query that why Motorola is designing every phone in a similar RAZR structure. Though some of the customers said they like it because with similar structure nobody can guess whether you have a cheap or a costly phone, well thought. This phone has up to 200 hours of stand by and a battery life of 8 hours and 30 minutes. If you need a simple phone without any added feature then you can surely go for this handset as you get a RAZR looks absolutely free with this phone.
